A stroll around Shoreditch reveals, visibly, pop's ability to eat itself, and without doubt events such as the 1-2-3-4 Festival are, in turn, a further embodiment of this as they consume the latest fad to pass through E2 and vomit the musical ingestion all over the surrounding area. East London was onto the whole ‘80s revival before anyone else, in a nauseating storm of day-glo and synths, and predictably it’s well into the next onslaught sure to pepper the recommendations of musical tastemakers in the coming months: noisenik grunge-influenced acts that will be heading our way and attempting to make a name for themselves. Amidst all the questionable haircuts and predilections for high-waist denim hot pants, leather jackets and Jesus ....
