Animal Collective, Deakin, Prince Rama: Animal Collective's Deakin Plots Tour With Prince Rama

Animal Collective may be taking a break after the exhaustive Merriweather Post Pavilion campaign, but none of them are shying away from producing new music in their spare time. We’ve got solo records from Panda Bear and Avey Tare imminent, and now Josh Dibb (aka Deakin), who should be fresher than most after opting out of the Merriweather sessions, has announced a tour with Brooklyn based noisemakers Prince Rama. Prince Rama has an album out on Paw Tracks titled Shadow Temple , which was allegedly recorded in Kurt Vonnegut’s grandson’s cabin (how’s that for a tenuous connection?) and a church which was purported to be haunted.

Tare and Deakin both helped bash the group's psychedelic jams into shape, and now ....
