Album Review: The Maccabees – Wall ...

Words by George Mills. 2007 saw the release of "Colour It In", The Maccabees’ debut effort. On the back of many positive reviews from critics, the album peaked at number 24 on the UK Album Chart, despite being leaking a few weeks before the official release date.<br/><br/> It's light-hearted, uberindie, jangly-guitarness struck a chord, (standard dodgy pun, check), with many a skinny jean-clad youngster, earning The Maccabees a loyal fan base. 2009 sees the release of the follow-up: "Wall Of Arms" which once again, disappointingly for the band, leaked before release. On first listen, I was undecided about whether or not I liked this album, but I thought that, if only because of "Colour It In", I'd give it one ....<br/><br/> 9:14 a.m. Saturday 2nd May 2009 EST
